Best Christmas Lights Poll

Post by Stuart McLaren »

I love Christmas lights (I'd have them all year!) so often drive around town looking for the best outside displays. I've listed my 6 favourites so far below, but please comment on any I've missed and I'll add any I feel worthy (I have room for a maximum of 10).

I've tried to put pictures below (having discovered a 'night' function on my camera) but it's obviously not easy to capture them in all their glory at night.

Georgetown Road/Gilloch Avenue

Just round the corner from me, manages to fit a lot in without going over the top (as indeed all of these selections do!).

Priory Avenue, Lincluden

This whole street, but the corner house in particular, have had the lights on since the beginning of November. Not early enough in my book!

Mossdale, Heathhall

This house has been putting on a display for years, and keeps getting better!

Houston The Butchers, Greenbrae Loaning

Would be the clear winner of the Commercial Property section, if I had one, unless you know better!

Craigvale Court

Another one just around the corner from me, the houses in this cul-de-sac all seem to get into the spirit, but that wasn't easy to capture on camera, so I've also included a photo of the most impressive house.
