While updating the site, I realised that the Webcam the BBC used to provide is no longer active. Is anyone aware of any active Dumfries Webcams?

This burn goes under Craigs Road, but doesn't re-appear on the other side! I take it that it runs under Calside/Georgetown, but does anyone know for sure?

Take Aways- Fortune House

Although I live in Georgetown, I always used to shun the local Chinese takeaway and head into town to Jimmy's. While Jimmy's is still good, I now have no qualms in going to the local one, which has improved greatly over the last few years.

I retired yesterday :D and have started spending more time on the site. The first thing I've been working on is improving my Social Media Integration. To start with the brilliant news....... I retired from work today!

While that is brilliant news for me, for everyone else the good news is I'll now be able to spend more time making this site even better!
